POSITION VACANCY
CAREER FIRE FIGHTER/AEMT-Paramedic
The Town of Wolfeboro Fire-Rescue Department is accepting applications and resumes to fill an open position and create a hiring list for future vacancies in the position of Career Fire Fighter/AEMT-Paramedic (full time union position, 48 hours per week).
SALARY RANGE
Current entry-level pay is under negotiations with the collective bargaining unit. Lateral transfer starting pay DOQ.
QUALIFICATIONS
AEMT Applicants:
· High school diploma or State recognized equivalent; NHFST (or Pro-Board) Certified Fire Fighter II.
· Minimum certification as a National Registry AEMT and eligible for licensure in NH, have a valid NH CDL Class B license with Air Brakes and Tank Vehicle Endorsements.
· Course completion in advanced firefighting and rescue techniques, and two-year college level degree in Fire Science or Fire Protection highly desirable.
Paramedic Applicants:
· Nationally Registered Paramedics are encouraged to apply and must achieve FF2 certification within one year of hire.
· High school diploma or State recognized equivalent.
· Valid State of NH Driver License.
All candidates must meet the current State of New Hampshire entry level career fire fighter eligibility requirements, as defined in Part Fire 701, Administrative Rules for NH Fire Standards and Training. Applicants must have a valid Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) license and/or meet lateral transfer requirements in accordance with Part Fire 703.
Interviews to be conducted at the Wolfeboro Public Safety Building, 251 South Main Street, Wolfeboro, NH. Applicants will be notified as to a specific date and time.
